Jeffrey J. Brown, M.D., FACR is a Professor of Radiology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri where he serves as the Director of Clinical Research and Co-director of MRI.

Dr. Brown has been involved in the development and clinical evaluation of MR contrast agents for many years and has served as a consultant to most of the leading contrast agent companies. He has authored or co-authored several textbooks and over 100 articles on MR imaging.

Dr. Brown received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of California at San Diego and a Masters of Business Administration from Washington University. Dr. Brown is an active member and Fellow of the American College of Radiology.

Peggy Bickham, Pharm.D. is Assistant Director of Pharmacy, Specialty and Support Services, at University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago.

At the University of Illinois Medical Center, Dr. Bickham manages the operating room pharmacy where she works closely with anesthesia, cardiology, and radiology staff to address medication use issues in the perioperative and imaging/procedure areas of the medical center. She recently published a continuing education article, “Contrast Media: A Pharmacist’s Perspective” for the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists. Additionally, Dr. Bickham is an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy lecturing on hospital pharmacy practice and serving as a preceptor for the hospital practice clerkship.

Dr. Bickham earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois. She is an active member of the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Darryl S. Rich, Pharm.D., M.B.A., FASHP is a part-time Surveyor for The Joint Commission in the hospital, home care, and ambulatory accreditation programs. Dr. Rich also works as part of the Joint Commission’s Standards Interpretation Group, serving as an internal resource on pharmacy and medication management issues.

Dr. Rich has been with the Joint Commission for over 15 years, the first 10 of which he worked at the Joint Commission headquarters in surveyor management and development. Prior to coming to the Joint Commission, Dr. Rich was Director of Pharmacy Services at Boston University Medical Center and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at Northeastern University. Additionally, Dr. Rich served as National Director of Pharmacy Services for Critical Care America, Inc., a national home infusion company.

Dr. Rich received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of California at San Francisco and a Masters of Business Administration in Health Care Management from Bryant University in Rhode Island. Subsequently, Dr. Rich completed an ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy at Rhode Island Hospital.

Dr. Rich is an active member and Fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and a past President of the New England Council of Health-System Pharmacists. Dr. Rich has received numerous awards, including the 2000 Institute for Safe Medication Practices Cheers Award and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Board of ASHP in 2004 for his work in medication safety at The Joint Commission. Dr. Rich has given countless presentations, contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications, and edited and contributed to multiple books, as well as a number of video series.

Peter Mui, Pharm.D. is the Pharmacy Manager at Highland Park Hospital of NorthShore University HealthSystem located in Chicago's northern suburbs.

At Highland Park Hospital, Dr. Mui works to develop, implement, and administer programs to improve clinical quality, minimize cost and ensure appropriate use of pharmaceuticals within the NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a corporate leader for medication reconciliation issues, he has worked to improve medication use processes to promote the safety of patients at NorthShore. Dr. Mui serves on his institution’s Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee, Drug Use Evaluation/Pharmacoeconomic subcommittee, and Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement committee.

In addition to his pharmacy management responsibilities, Dr. Mui teaches a medication class for cardiac rehabilitation patients. He also holds adjunct faculty positions at the University of Illinois, University of Iowa, and University of Colorado.

Dr. Mui earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
