Michael J. Berger, Pharm.D, BCOP, is Specialty Practice Pharmacist for the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Berger also holds an appointment of Clinical Assistant Professor at the OSU College of Pharmacy, where he teaches oncology therapeutics and precepts 4th-year Pharm.D. students.

For the last 7 years, Dr. Berger has worked at a comprehensive, ambulatory oncology clinic specializing in the management of patients with breast cancer. He has been instrumental in the development of guidelines and services aimed at improving supportive care management of patients, and, most recently, has pioneered clinical pharmacy services within the medical oncology clinic in an attempt to ensure appropriate and safe use of oral chemotherapy medications.

Dr. Berger received his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy in 1993 and Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2003 from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy. In 2006, he became board certified in oncology pharmacy.

Michael Vozniak, Pharm.D., BCOP is Hematology/Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

For the past 5 years, Dr. Vozniak has specialized in the care of patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplant and patients receiving therapy for leukemia or lymphoma. He serves on his institution’s Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Medication Safety Committee and Pain and Symptom Management Committee. Additionally, he serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents. He also gives didactic lectures for the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. Dr. Vozniak is a member of the Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA) and serves as the chair of its Nominations and Awards Committee.

Dr. Vozniak earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2001. Subsequently, he completed a pharmacy practice residency (PGY-1) at the University of Kentucky in 2002 and then returned to the University of Pittsburgh to complete his oncology specialty residency (PGY-2) in 2003. He became board certified in oncology pharmacy in 2004.

Dawn Goetz, Pharm.D., BCOP is Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Medical Oncology at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa, Florida.

For the past six years, Dr. Goetz has worked on the Medical Oncology Service specializing in the management of patients with solid tumors. In addition, she has served as a preceptor and advisor to oncology specialty residents and as a preceptor to students from various universities throughout Florida and the United States. Dr. Goetz frequently provides inservices and lectures to nurses, medical residents and oncology fellows, as well as fellow pharmacists.

Dr. Goetz received her Bachelor of Science degree in pharmaceutical science in May 2000 and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May 2002 from South Dakota State University. She went on to complete an oncology specialty residency at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in July 2003 and is board certified in oncology pharmacy.

David G. Frame, Pharm.D. is Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at the University of Michigan, as well as Clinical Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Specialist at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor. He is also Adjunct Professor of Pharmacology at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Frame's research experience is in the areas of molecular biology, chemistry, biochemistry, kinetics, quality of life outcomes, anticoagulation, hematology and oncology. He has been awarded grants from both the pharmaceutical industry and institutional organizations and has been honored with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Drug Research Award and the Eli Lilly Achievement Award, among others. Dr. Frame is a member of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association Research Committee, the International Society of Oncology Pharmacists’ Publications, Education, and Research Committees, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer.

Dr. Frame earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from St. Louis University in Missouri and a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He then completed a fellowship in oncology at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dr. Frame has published abstracts and articles in a number of peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, he has given numerous presentations on a variety of topics at national and international meetings and congresses.
